Dream Closet in New Alexandria Condo
Our client wanted an updated, luxury walk-in closet that was the perfect addition to her new condo. Not only did she want to have plenty of space to store and organize her clothing, but she had her heart set on displaying her designer bags and jewelry. Working with our design team at The Tailored Closet of Greater Washington, DC, all her dreams came true, and here’s how we made that happen:
Functional Storage Options
This closet features tilt out hampers (hiding them from view!), plentiful storage and cabinetry, and, for displaying jewelry, a 2-tray nested jewelry organizer, popular with our clients. Lined in velvet, with multiple options for storing necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and more, this is the perfect solution for being able to view all your jewelry at the same time while also keeping it hidden away when not in use.
Luxe Lighting
To best view all her accessories, including her jewelry, handbags, and shoes, our client requested plentiful lighting throughout her closet. The closet now features multiple types of lighting, including recessed and puck lighting for overhead lighting and wardrobe tube lighting for ease of hanging and retrieving clothing. The combination of the lighting as well as the specific placement allows for the ability to truly see all the closet’s contents to the best of one’s ability – plus, the recessed and puck lighting is installed with dimmers for early mornings or late nights!
Sleek & Modern Finishes
Done in The Tailored Closet’s popular Oxford White color, the closet’s cabinetry features soft edges and brushed hardware throughout. In addition, all the cabinetry features soft close features. The modern look to the space was part of our client’s overall vision, and combined with the lighting, put the final touches to the space.
